Weird!!!

I could say this is a flash back IF I had ever seen him this way, but over the last 12 years I have NEVER seen him like this. OH MY. Not sure what to think. :)

All done so he can snorkel with me easier.

What Do You Mean You Are Going Without Me?!?!

Ashlynn attempted to pack herself into our suit cases this morning. Looks like someone might know what we are up to. :)

I know some moms never leave their kids and some moms can leave for a vacation when they are only a month old. I guess I am neither of these. I left her overnight for the first time when she was 9 months old. I am very excited about our trip, but also very anxious about leaving her. Thank goodness she is going to be in wonderful loving hands while her Daddy and I take a MUCH NEEDED vacation.

Bubbles with Daddy!

One of Ashlynn's new words is Bubble. Josh didn't believe me when I said she says it, but when she asked for them this morning he was excited to go and blow some bubus for her. I think there is an L in there when she says it, but either way....SO cute.

Why I Am Sad Today

Peter Boscow aka: Boscow Barns will be closing forever. I know I know, it is only an elementary school, but it was MY elementary school. The school all 5 of us kids went to. Where we would go and play during the summer. I do remember when they took down the old Barns part of the school and that was sad to me, but this? Really? PLUS: I will be out of town and Becky is coming in for the closing ceremony. :(
Don't get me wrong. I am not willing to give up my trip for this, but I wish they would have checked my schedule first.
I know it is old and I know it will be better if little lives aren't in those old buildings anymore. Sine it was built in 1912 for goodness sake, but I am still very sad that it will no longer be a school and might not even be around at all.
Here's to all the good memories a Peter Boscow!!!

LOOKING BACK

-If you could go back and tell your teenage self one thing, what would it be? GO GET ON ACUTANE! Right now. Don't listen to the little old man on the bus. He is only going to hurt your feeling about your horrible acne. Just go get on Acutane and be happy! *(Oh...but stay out of the sun while you are on it!)

-Did you do any extra curricular activities in high school.
Mostly church stuff. Softball, Volley Ball, Basket Ball. Loved them all and felt like I was pretty good too. Not the best, but good enough to be picked near the top.

- What did you do with your free time?
Hung out with Laurie. Went to Battleground a lot *(per my Battle Ground post)

-Coolest thing you did as a teenager.
Really...not sure. I thought we were pretty freaking cool, but I can't think of anything really. Stealing a car...is that cool?? HA!

-Did you have a boyfriend in high school?
FAST EDDY & Matt Betts. :) HA. And a few others here and there, but I didn't like dating anyone from my school.

-Songs that come to mind?
Forever Young! I want to be forever young. Do you really want to live forever, forever, forever.

- If you could change one thing, what would it be?
I would study harder and get better grades. How do we tell our children that? How do we show them that it will only benefit from it? Oh well. I still turned out well I think.

- What did you think you would be when you grew up?
A veterinarian. Dream on babe.

-Craziest thing you did in high school? Walked across a train bridge with bats, just to impress a boy. dumb.

It Just Keeps Getting Better

*(Most of the time. The molar that is coming in right now isn't helping the statement above, but it is still great).

Ashlynn is really starting to bloom. She is talking up a storm and can get around almost anywhere now. She says Ball, Bubble, UtOh, Mama, Dada and a few others I can't think of right now. She wants us with her all the time and will grab our fingers to have us walk with her, but is getting more independent. Loving it!

Happy Mothers Day Mom

Thank you for being able to sit and listen to me when you asked me a question and got the honest answer. I am sure I shocked you more then one time with that.

Thanks for not giving up on having more babies. 4 girls and 1 boys is way better then 2 girls. :)

Thanks for always taking us to church even though I KNOW I couldn't take 5 kids to church by myself!

Thanks for continuing the Jack Creek camping tradition while we were growing up.

We all have very good memories of growing up because you trusted us to just go out and have fun.

I Love Grandma McCrae, but thanks for never giving us the Hamburger talk! :) *(please don't say "Maybe I should have") :)

Thank you for taking care of Grandma for all of us and all the work it takes everyday. But please remember (even IF I am your favorite) you are going to be in a nursing home when you get old. A nice one with hot little old men, but for sure a nursing home! :)

We love you. You have been a wonderful example in our lives. Couldn't have asked for a better mom!

xoxo

Ft. Stevens

It was cold and it was raining (misting), but we had a good time with Grandma, Papa, G.G., the Thayers and the Bergs. Bike rides. Trip to the museum at Ft. Stevens and Yummy Chili dinner. We had a lot of fun during our day trip out to the coast.

Here are a few pictures from the trip there and inside Grandma and Papa's trailer. More to follow soon!

New Bike Seat For Me!

Or for Ashlynn. I wanted to get this for her birthday, but instead it is a mothers day gift for me. :) I love it!!! Please don't mind the tool on the front of the bike. We were having FUN!!!

I Just Don't See What The Problem Is

Ok. Today is your day off.

Ok. You want to finish planting your garden.

Ok...You have a 13 month old...got it! :)

I wish I had my camera out there while I was actually planting. Ashlynn was eating the dirt.
