ANOTHER PARTY?!?!

Poor Ashlynn. She was as done with parties as we were. Headed to Grandma and Papa McCumber's on Sunday for a joint party with Jackson. Jackson turned 5 the day after Ashlynn turned 1. It was nice to be there. Marlo, Matt, Kaiden and Conley came too. Aunt Leanna made another bear cake for Ashlynn. Too bad she was all caked out and didn't eat any of it. But thank you!!

She won't stop playing with her new toys and we can't wait to put her new helmet on and go for a ride. Plus we get to go to the zoo for free too!!! Thanks everyone!

Party with Gage and Abby

Gage Young turned 4 and Abby Amato turned 5. Their mom's had a wonderful idea to have a joint party at the Gymnastics academy this sunday. How much fun!! I will totally remember this when Ashlynn gets older. The kids were able to run wild. Great time!

Ashlynn and Reese loved eachother! :)

First we had a party here at our house with the Komp family and the St. Helens friends. This was Saturday night. Lots of people came, even Mary and Jarod with little 6 week old Evy, plus Heidi and Jeff with Kylie. It was so great to see everyone!!! I have to say I did stress about it before hand, but it turned out to be a wonderful time. The kids were all great. All the adults seemed to have a good time. The rain couldn't stop our party.

The whole crew. LOTS of people came to wish little Ashlynn happy birthday. Great friends!

Happy Happy Birthday Baby Dear

I talked Josh into getting Ashlynn a cupcake tonight. She had to have SOMETHING to celebrate her actual first birthday. :)

Here are some pictures and the live action for you. I think she won't disappoint on Saturday with the Komps and Sunday with the McCumbers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To My Daughter On Her First Birthday

It still catches me by surprise that you are actually a full year old. What happened? Where did the time go. I feel as if the first 6 months took years and the last 6 months went by in a blink of an eye. I know all babies are the same, but wow the strides you have taken this last year. You went from a little blob that didn't do anything but eat, sleep, cry (a lot) and mess your diaper to this big girl that now communicates, eats almost anything and everything, crawls everywhere and now even walks a little. How can one little person learn so much in such a short time? You amaze me. Our life was great before you came, but I can't even imagine it without you now!!! Everyone told me how much it would change and how much I would love you. I didn't understand. I don't think anyone does until they finally have a child of their own. You have been a blessing beyond blessings. I love you more then can be said. And that loves keeps getting stronger. A crazy kill for you kind of love. Imagine if you were a boy?!?! I might be as crazy as your Aunt Amy is about Grant-C. :)

Thank you for blessing us and picking our family to come to. Thank you for trusting that we would be good parents. Even though mistakes have been made, we are learning with you. I can't wait to see how you grow and make choices and learn. I am excited for you and your future. I pray that it is everything you dream and so much more.

Happy Birthday my big girl!!! I am so excited for your next year!

We love you!!!

Poor Daddy

I had to be in the office today for the big bosses visit. So Josh is having daddy/daughter day today. :) I think he is enjoying himself. They have basically been on the road all day. Josh ran to his office for some things. They ran to Sears and Target. They came and went to lunch with me at Red Robin. No AM nap for the baby, so when they headed out after lunch to go to Costco...this is what happened! CRASH! OUT!

Then it really hit. Something didn't sit nicely from lunch and Josh had to use the restroom at Costco. The issue: Public Restrooms. There just aren't any nice enough that you would EVER put your baby on the floor. You can't leave her in the shopping cart outside your door either. What to do? What to do? And this is becoming URGENT!

So Josh went into the handicap stall. Juggled Ashlynn while he attempted to get his pants down and then sat her on his lap and made her listen to this. Oh poor baby.
I am not sure about your relationships, but in mine Josh has the attitude of "if you have to spend any time in the bathroom, please do it alone, with the door closed and the fan on". He doesn't want to hear it or think about it or even know it happens. I am actually surprised he can use a public restroom to be honest ... let alone have his little baby on his lap while doing it! I wonder if this will scar her for life. :)

Hysterical! I had to share. This is going to get me in so much trouble, but it will be worth it. I finally have a good poop story!

*(I do have a better one, but I just can't share that yet!)

My Face Is Eating Itself

My Face Is Eating Itself:

I had a breakdown Sunday night (*and last night a little too) about my face. I didn't want to go to work. I didn't want to face anyone. I didn't want people looking at it or me or asking me about it. :( BLAH!!!
Josh tried to be helpful:

Josh: Just tell them that you lipped off and I hit ya.

Me: Right and your fist only hit the very top of my mouth.

Josh: Tell them you ran into a door and missed your nose

Me: RIGHT.

Josh: Ok...here it is! Tell them you had a freak shaving accident.

Me: Screw off Josh. (*in a laughing tone...he does make me laugh when he is being a jerk!)

No one said a word. A lot of people come into my cube all day long and I have to go around the building a lot, but no one said anything UNTIL: Dan Pungor came into my cube. Dan is Hungarian. I am not sure if that make a difference or not, but he is a very blunt European. I think most are. :)

Dan: Ummm *(Pointing at my face). Did you lip off to Josh?

Me: No

Dan: Did the baby scratch you?
Me: No

Dan: So tell me, what the heck happened to you?

Me: Thanks Dan. No one else has asked. They all avoid eye contact and act as if my face isn't eating itself, but you...you have to ask. :) I have a cold sore, or a fever blister or what ever you want to call it. Too much stress or not enough sleep or something.

Dan: No one else asked??? What is that? An American thing? What if you had been being beat on? I guess I am the only one that cares.

That was yesterday. Today it must be worse, because everyone wants to know. One guy asked if I had a cool story to go with my new ouchie.

My BIG boss came into the office today (*The main reason I didn't want to face the world this week) and pointed and asked too. He is just sweet about it though. Really concerned. Not like looking at a car accident.

So there you go. There is my Cold Sore update for you girl. Here is the picture I sent to Leanna yesterday. The comment I received back was "OUCH, that's not a happy mouth". HA! You are so right!
