This is an old picture from back in February, but I don't have a recent one. This is their bed time routine. Josh give Ashlynn a bath, brush their teeth, get jammas on and then rock and read a book. I used to rock her all the way to sleep, but Josh has made sure that she doesn't need that anymore. It made me sad, but it was the smart thing. So he reads a book to her and then lays her down for the night. She says good night and falls asleep.
Well: Last night was different. Last night she didn't even want to sit on his lap. She wanted to sit on the foot stool part and read a book to Daddy. No snuggle time for daddy last night. She gave him a hug, but refused to sit and be read to. She feel asleep well again, but Josh was heart broken. Poor Daddy. He is having a very hard time with his little girl growing up.

Sorry Josh. But it was just one of many of those moments to come. But they usually make way for something else just as good.
Don't worry Josh, you have so much more you can teach her that this memory will fade fast. At least you have a backup in the oven, right Jenn! :-) LOL
