Ashlynn's End Of Year Preschool PARTY

Ashlynn isn't one of the graduates this year, but they don't leave anyone out at these things. So here is my girlie getting her "look who went to Preschool" certificate. Next year when she is 5 and they do this, she will be in the super cute purple cap and gown. Love it!

And The Wall Continues

Josh came home tonight and started working on the fill for the wall. He had help too. Lucky little brats. :) Nothing like kids that live where you can own a tractor. Please see the last few pictures, YES...she is THAT bossy! :) She should totally be construction management when she grows up.

I look out the window and what do I see? My two little kiddos playing Niiicely. :) Really attempting to make that flow like the apricot tree song. :)

Josh was walking up stairs and looked out the window and said "oh cute, come see this". Poor little four wheeler, it sure was working hard for this, but they were playing so well together. Lately I have noticed them playing more and more together and nicely. LOVE IT! Hope they keep that up for a few years, before they hate each other. ;)

Retaining Wall Update

Not yet done. I would say over half way, since he is now done with the stairs. Oh those stairs. Let me tell you something...that was a discussion and turns out they cost us almost 200 more for them, but I really didn't want the back yard to be "blocked off". It wouldn't have been really. You could walk around the wall from either side, but I like the yard to be inviting (totally the words I used). He finally (not happily) agreed. So there they are. And he likes them too. He is proud of them and I LOVE THEM. These pictures were taking Saturday AM the 28th. I will post the final pictures later. He finished this "little" project today. The back fill will be coming out on Tuesday! YAHOO!

Retaining Wall

We finally are getting to work on the retaining wall in the back yard. A few years ago Josh brought home some stones and had the idea of making the lower patio extend, so that fathers day I hired someone to lay those nicely in sand for him. It turned out nice, but over the winters that followed, the sand has started to wash out from under the stones and down the hill. So Josh decided to make a retaining wall to raise up that hill and make it all level (plus raise up the hill all the way over to the play structure (taking way the slide of death that we currently have there). I was thrilled when he said he was heading down to buy some blocks to start this project.

Here are a couple pictures of Josh getting started. Please note that the last picture is about when he started yelling "HONEY! Can you come get this kids, this isn't working". Apparently they were trying to "help" a little too much. :)

2) That we were able to pull this off without Amy having a single clue. I am still so excited that Chris Berg was able to keep it from her AND was able to totally pull a fast one and make her believe that she wasn't going to get any free time! We all ROCK!


1) Para-sailing. The highlight. Would have never thought I would ever do that ever. Loved it. (once I stopped worrying about my camera that is). So peaceful and beautiful and SO much fun. The perfect ending to a great weekend! Thank you for turning 40 Amy!
